The short version
Some of the products we review, we bought ourselves. Some, we received for free for review purposes — including through the Amazon Vine program. Some links on this site are affiliate links that earn us a small commission if you click through and buy something.
None of that changes what we actually say about a product. A free item doesn’t earn a better review than one we paid for out of pocket. If something’s mediocre, we say so — regardless of how it landed on our desk.
Amazon Associates disclosure
As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. When you click an Amazon link on this site and make a purchase, we may receive a small commission, at no additional cost to you.
Amazon Vine disclosure
Some products reviewed on this site were provided to us free of charge through the Amazon Vine program, in exchange for our honest, unbiased opinion. Amazon Vine does not see, approve, or influence our review verdicts before publication — the opinions here are entirely our own.
Other affiliate programs
We may participate in additional affiliate programs beyond Amazon Associates as this site grows. Any such relationship will be disclosed here, and on individual posts where relevant.
Why this matters to us
We built this site because we were tired of reviews that felt like disguised advertising. If we’re ever going to ask you to trust a star rating, you deserve to know exactly how we got the product in the first place — so you can weigh our opinion accordingly, not despite our silence about it.
Questions
If you ever have a specific question about how we obtained a particular product, or whether a specific link is an affiliate link, email us at contact@games2.com — we’re happy to tell you.
